ChampionChip Timing and Scoring
ChampionChip timing used by Capital Running Company will be used to score the race. The system uses a computer "Chip" which must be tied to runners' shoelaces, and records the exact time a runner crosses both the start and the finish line, resulting in a net, or "Chip," time. Overall awards will be based on "clock time," and age group awards will be based on "Chip time." You must wear your ChampionChip on your shoe and cross the mats at the start and finish to be scored.

Discounts Only for ChampionChip Owners
ChampionChip owners may deduct $2 by providing their personal 7-character ChampionChip identification number with their registration. Please register before race day to avoid errors in ChampionChip number data entry on Sunday.
