Angel Kisses 5K & 2K Race

It seems
like yesterday when a group of moms came together to plan an event to
honor 4 year old Jeffrey Virostek. That “yesterday” was 9 years ago and
we are back together to plan another successful 5k/2k run. That run is
called “Angel Kisses” and our goal is to raise money in support of the
Jeffrey Virostek Memorial Fund.
The
Jeffrey Virostek Memorial Fund is a component fund of the Northern
Virginia Community Foundation (NVCF). Through this Fund, we have helped
many groups and other organizations assist families whose child is
fighting to win the battle that Jeffrey lost. One example of the many
organizations we support is the DC Candlighters. This organization
assists families financially as they struggle to care for their sick
child. Items such as a heating bill, gas money to travel to and from
the hospital as well as medications not covered under their insurance
plan are just a few examples of their needs. These are the types of
necessities that get overlooked when the primary focus becomes your sick
child. This is at the heart of our race and the reason behind Jeffrey’s
fund…to help these families.
While we
appreciate any monetary donation, the minimum amount to “sponsor” our
event is $350.00. All sponsors will receive complimentary t-shirts, (2)
race registrations, race day announcement of sponsors, as well as
advertisement in our race packets. To date, we have raised over $170,000
but this isn’t possible without the support of our sponsors! We hope
you will join us in our efforts.
